The Àndala Journey Method

A clinically grounded, experiential psychotherapeutic method integrating depth psychology, art-based therapies, and embodied movement—designed for those seeking profound psychological transformation through intensive, residential work.

A Depth Approach for Work Beyond Words

The Àndala Journey Method was created to reach psychological material that is often inaccessible through talking therapy alone. Many individuals sense that what lives at the core of their difficulties is pre-verbal, symbolic, or held in the body. Our method provides a structured, clinically safe way to approach these deeper layers.

Across our intensives, therapy marathons, and residential intensives, we work with:

  • Unconscious processes

  • Symbolic and imaginal material

  • Pre-verbal experiences

  • Embodied and movement-based expression

  • Creative and non-verbal channels

This allows a multi-layered therapeutic process, engaging mind, body, and imagination together.

The Three Pillars of the Method

Together, these pillars create a comprehensive, immersive therapeutic method.

Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy

Rooted in clinical depth traditions, the method includes structured psychotherapeutic sessions that explore unconscious patterns, symbolic meaning, relational dynamics, and the emotional material that surfaces within the intensive setting.

Movement-based work enables the body to participate fully in the therapeutic process. This form of embodied exploration brings emotional states, implicit memories, and relational patterns into awareness through movement, rhythm, and somatic expression.

Art is used not as a technique, but as a mode of psychological access. Through drawing, image-making, and creative processes, participants encounter material that is difficult to articulate but readily expressed symbolically.

Why Intensives? The Power of Containment and Structure

The Àndala Journey Method is designed specifically for intensive therapeutic formats—residential therapy intensives and structured weekend marathons—because intensity creates the conditions for deep psychological work.

Intensives offer:

  • A sustained, uninterrupted therapeutic arc

  • The opportunity to work through resistances and defences more directly

  • Access to unconscious material that needs time and safety to unfold

  • A depth of emotional engagement not possible in standard once-weekly therapy

  • A psychologically robust container guided by experienced clinicians

In residential settings, we take care of all practical needs so participants can focus exclusively on their inner process.

Created Through Clinical Collaboration

The Àndala Journey Method emerged from the collaboration of three clinicians, each with a distinct yet complementary depth background:

  • One deeply rooted in analytical and depth-psychological traditions

  • One trained in Dance Movement Therapy and somatic process

  • One specialising in art-based and expressive therapeutic practice

Individually, each clinician has reached depth in their own modality. Together, they weave a structured, integrative method in which what emerges with one practitioner can evolve through the others.

This collaborative holding forms a rich, multi-perspectival therapeutic field.

Who This Method Is For

The Àndala Journey Method is especially suited for individuals who:

  • Want profound psychological work, not surface-level techniques

  • Feel that talking therapy is no longer enough

  • Sense there is more beneath the surface—unconscious, symbolic, or embodied

  • Seek a residential therapeutic intensives with structure and clinical depth

  • Want a breakthrough experience or a significant psychological reset

  • Are drawn toward experiential, creative, and embodied approaches

It is also appropriate for professionals in high-pressure environments who need a psychologically robust container for deep self-work.

Beyond Words: A Multi-Layered Descent

Psychological change often begins where language ends.
Our method offers a way to move:

  • from thinking to experiencing

  • from narrative to symbol

  • from interpretation to embodied awareness

  • from story to process

The integration of depth psychotherapy, creativity, and embodied practice allows different layers of the psyche to communicate with one another, opening new pathways to insight and transformation.
